या यूहेचि लिखा पाया गया है। इसका कारण सम्भवतः यह था कि ऋषिक तुषार दोनों वंशों ने सम्मिलित शक्ति से बल्ख से थियान्शान पर्वत, खोतन, कपिशा और तक्षशिला तक राज्यविस्तार कर लिया था। यह समय 175 ईस्वी पूर्व से 100 ईस्वी पूर्व तक का माना गया है। पं० जयचन्द्र विद्यालंकार ने अपनी पुस्तक ‘इतिहास प्रवेश’ के प्रथम भाग में पृ० 112-113 पर जो नक्शा दिया है, तदनुसार “ऋषिक तुषार तक्षशिला से शाकल (सियालकोट), मथुरा, अयोध्या और पटना तक राज्य विस्तार करने वाली जाति (जाट) सिद्ध होती है।” इस मत के अनुसार प्राचीन काम्बोज देश हजारों वर्षों तक तुषार देश या तुखारिस्तान कहलाता रहा। जिस समय भारतवर्ष में सम्राट् अशोक (273 से 236 ई० पूर्व) का राज्य था उस समय चीन के ठीक उत्तर में इर्तिश नदी और आमूर नदी के बीच हूण लोग रहते थे। इन हूणों के आक्रमणों से तंग आकर तत्कालीन चीन सम्राट् ने अपने देश की उत्तरी सीमा पर एक विशाल और विस्तृत दीवार बनवाई थी जो कि आज ‘चीन की दीवार’ के नाम से संसार के सात आश्चर्यजनक निर्माणों में से एक है। तब हूणों ने उस तरफ से हटकर ऋषिक तुषारों पर आक्रमण करने आरम्भ कर दिए। यह समय ईस्वी पूर्व 175-165 के मध्य का था। उधर हूणों ने चीन के पश्चिमी भाग पर चढाइयां प्रारम्भ कर दीं। हूणों को रोकने के लिए चीन के सम्राट् ने ऋषिक तुषारों की सहायता चाही। यह सन्देश लेकर चीन का प्रथम राजदूत ‘चांगकिएन’ चीन से चल पड़ा। परन्तु ऋषिक-तुषारों से मिलने से पहले ही मार्ग में हूणों द्वारा पकड़ा गया और बन्दी बनाया गया। 10 वर्ष हूणों के बन्दीगृह में रहने के बाद यह दूत ऋषिक-तुषारों के दल में पहुंच ही गया जो उस समय चीन के कानसू और काम्बोज के मध्य तारीम नदी के किनारे रहते थे। यह तारीम नदी आज के चीन के प्रान्त सिनकियांग (Sinkiang) में पश्चिम से पूर्व की ओर बहती है। चीन के इस सन्देश के मिलने पर ऋषिक तुषारों ने हूणों पर बहुत प्रबल आक्रमण किया और ईस्वी 127 से 119 तक के मध्य में हूणों को परास्त करके मंगोलिया को भगा दिया। इस प्रकार चीन-भारत की मैत्री का यही अवसर प्रथम माना जाता है। ऋषिक-तुषारों की इस प्राचीन आवास भूमि का नाम ‘उपरला हिन्द’ (Upper India) प्रसिद्ध है। उन दिनों इस समूह का धर्म बौद्ध और जीवन युद्धमय था। इन्हीं का प्रमुख पुरुषा ऋषिक-वंशज लल्ल ऋषि था। (जाटों का उत्कर्ष पृ० 332 लेखक योगेन्द्रपाल शास्त्री)।, तुषारों के विषय में यूनानी प्रसिद्ध इतिहासकार स्ट्रैबो (Strabo) के लेख अनुसार बी० एस० दहिया ने जाट्स दी ऐन्शन्ट रूलर्ज पृ० 273 पर लिखा है कि तुषार लोगों ने बैक्ट्रिया (Bactria) प्रदेश पर से यूनानियों के राज्य को नष्ट कर दिया और उनको वहां से बाहर भगा दिया। ये अति प्रसिद्ध थे।, ले० रामसरूप जून ने जाट इतिहास अंग्रेजी पृ० 170 पर लिखा है कि “तुषारों का राज्य गजनी एवं सियालकोट दोनों पर था और इनके बीच का क्षेत्र तुषारस्थान कहलाता था।” यही लेखक जाट इतिहास हिन्दी पृ० 81 पर लिखते हैं कि “कठ और मलिक गणराज्यों ने पंजाब में सिकन्दर की सेना से युद्ध किया था।” परन्तु उस समय इन लोगों की पदवी ‘मलिक’ की नहीं थी जो कि उस आक्रमण के बाद इनको मिली। सम्भवतः ऋषिक-तुषारों ने सिकन्दर से युद्ध किया हो। इन चन्द्रवंशज ऋषिक-तुषार जाटवंशों का नाम गठवाला और मलिक पदवी कैसे मिली इसका, जाट वीरों का इतिहास: दलीप सिंह अहलावत, पृष्ठान्त-270, हरयाणा सर्वखाप पंचायत के भाट हरिराम, गांव करवाड़ा जिला मुजफ्फरनगर की पोथी वंशावली के लेखानुसार संक्षिप्त वर्णन -, चन्द्रवंशी ऋषिक तुषारों के गणराज्य थे। इसी ऋषिकवंश में महात्मा लल्ल का जन्म हुआ था। यह प्रचण्ड विद्वान्, शूरवीर, बाल-ब्रह्मचारी और एक महान् सन्त था। यह ऋषिक-तुषारों का महान् पुरुष था1। यह बौद्धधर्म को मानने वाला था।, सम्राट् कनिष्क (ईस्वी 120 से ई० 162) कुषाण गोत्र का जाट महाराजा था जिसके राज्य में उत्तरप्रदेश, पंजाब, सिन्ध, कश्मीर, अफगानिस्तान, खोतान, हरात, यारकन्द और बल्ख आदि शामिल थे। यह सम्राट् बौद्ध धर्म के मानने वाला था। इसकी राजधानी पेशावर थी। इसने बौद्धों की चौथी सभा का आयोजन कश्मीर में कुण्डल वन के स्थान पर किया। इस सम्मेलन में देश-विदेशों से 500 बौद्ध साधु तथा अन्यधर्मी 500 पण्डित आये थे और बड़ी संख्या में जनता ने भाग लिया। इस सम्मेलन के सभापति विश्वमित्र तथा उपसभापति अश्वघोष साधु बनाये गये।, लल्ल ऋषि: महात्मा लल्ल भी इस सम्मेलन में धर्मसेवा करते रहे थे। इस अवसर पर लल्ल ऋषि को ‘संगठितवाला साधु’ की उपाधि देकर सम्मानित किया गया। इस लल्ल ऋषि ने ऋषिक-तुषारों का एक मजबूत संगठन बनाया जो लल्ल ऋषि की उपाधि संगठित के नाम से एक गठन या गठवाला संघ कहलाने लगा। अपने महान् नेता लल्ल के नाम से यह जाटों का गण लल्ल गठवाला कहा जाने लगा। यह नाम सम्राट् कनिष्क के शासनकाल के समय पड़ा था। सम्राट् कनिष्क महात्मा लल्ल को अपना कुलगुरु (खानदान का गुरु) मानते थे। महाराज कनिष्क ने महात्मा लल्ल के नेतृत्व में इस लल्ल गठवाला संघ को गजानन्दी या गढ़गजनी नगरी का राज्य सौंप दिया। यहां पर मुसलमानों के आक्रमण होने तक लल्ल गठवालों का शासन रहा।, इस तरह से अफगानिस्तान के इस प्रान्त (क्षेत्र) पर लल्ल राज्य की स्थापना हुई जो कि जाट राज्य था (लेखक)।, जाट इतिहास पृ० 717 पर ठा० देशराज ने लिखा है कि “गठवालों का जनतन्त्र राज्य गजनी के आसपास था। मलिक या मालिक इनकी उपाधि है जो इनको उस समय मिली थी जबकि ये अफगानिस्तान में रहते थे। इस्लामी आक्रमण के समय इन्होंने उस देश को छोड़ दिया था।” ठा० देशराज के इस मत से मैं (लेखक) सहमत हूँ। क्योंकि मुसलमानों से पहले अफगानिस्तान में कई छोटे-छोटे राज्य स्थापित थे जिनमें गठवाला वंश सबसे शक्तिशाली था। इन लोगों का दबदबा और प्रभाव दूसरे राज्यों पर था जिसके कारण इन्होंने गठवालों को मालिक मान लिया और मलिक उपाधि दी। इस तरह ये लोग लल्ल गठवाला मलिक कहलाने लगे।, इस लल्लवंश के दो भाग हो गये थे। एक का नाम सोमवाल पड़ा और दूसरा लल्ल गठवाला ही रहा। प्रतापगढ़ का राजा सोमवाल गठवाला हुआ है। सोमवाल गठवालों के 45 गांव हैं जिनमें से 24 गांव जि० सहारनपुर व मुजफ्फरनगर में और 21 गांव जिला मेरठ में हैं। इनके अतिरिक्त कुछ गांव जि० हरदोई में भी हैं। (हरिराम भाट की पोथी)।, जाट वीरों का इतिहास: दलीप सिंह अहलावत, पृष्ठान्त-271, उमैया (उमैयाद) वंश के मुसलमान बादशाहों (खलीफा) की उपाधि मलिक थी। इनकी राजधानी दमिश्क शहर में थी। अब्दुल अब्बास के नाम से प्रचलित अब्बासीवंश के बादशाहों ने संवत् 806 (749 ई०) में उमैयादवंश के खलीफा को हराकर राज्य ले लिया और दमिश्क शहर को आग लगाकर जला दिया। इन अब्बासी बादशाहों ने बग़दाद को अपनी राजधानी बनाया। इस वंश का राज्य 749 ई० से 1256 ई० तक रहा। जिसके अन्तिम खलीफा को चंगेज खां के पौत्र हलाकूखां ने युद्ध में मार दिया तथा बगदाद पर अधिकार कर लिया। इस तरह से खलीफा पद का अन्त हो गया। इस अब्बासी वंश का प्रसिद्ध बादशाह खलीफा हारुंरशीद संवत् 830 (773 ई०) में बगदाद का शासक था। उसका बेटा मामूरशीद संवत् 853 (796 ई०) में बगदाद का बादशाह बना। वह सं० 828 ई० में मर गया। उसके शासनकाल में अब्बासी मुसलमानों ने गजनी शहर पर आक्रमण करके उसे जीत लिया जिसकी राजधानी गज़नी थी (हरिराम भाट की पोथी)। इस प्रसिद्ध लल्ल गठवाला मलिकवंश का गजनी राजधानी पर शासन ईस्वी दूसरी सदी के प्रारम्भ से नवमी सदी के प्रारम्भ तक लगभग 700 वर्ष रहा।, गजनी पर मुसलमानों का अधिकार हो जाने से जो लल्ल गठवाले वहां रह गये वे मुसलमान बन गये और शेष गजनी छोड़कर सरगोधा व भटिण्डा होते हुए हांसी (जि० हिसार) पहुंच गये और वहां पर हांसी के आस-पास अपना पंचायती राज्य स्थापित करके रहने लगे (हरिराम भाट की पोथी)।, जाटों का उत्कर्ष पृ० 332-333 पर योगेन्द्रपाल शास्त्री ने लिखा है कि -, योगेन्द्रपाल शास्त्री जी का यह मत है कि मुस्लिमकाल में ऋषिकों का दल संगठनवाला से, जाट वीरों का इतिहास: दलीप सिंह अहलावत, पृष्ठान्त-272, गठवाला हांसी क्षेत्र में प्रचलित हुआ और मुगलकाल में ऋषिक और तुषार दोनों को मलिक की उपाधि दी गई थी, कोई विशेष प्रमाणित बात नहीं है जितना कि हरिराम भाट की पोथी का लेख है। इसी पोथी के लेख का समर्थन ले० रामसरूप जून ने अपने जाट इतिहास पृ० 81 पर इस तरह किया है -, ठा० देशराज के लेख अनुसार, जैसा कि पिछले पृष्ठ पर लिख दिया है, गठवालों को मलिक की पदवी अफगानिस्तान में मिली थी। हमारा विचार भी यही है कि सम्राट् कनिष्क के शासनकाल के समय ईसा की दूसरी सदी में लल्ल ऋषि ने तुषार-ऋषिकों का संगठन किया जो गठवाल कहलाया और लल्ल ऋषि के नाम पर लल्ल गठवाला कहलाये। गजनी का राज्य मिलने पर इनकी पदवी ‘मलिक’ हुई। इन मलिक गठवालों को मुगल बादशाहों ने नहीं, किन्तु इब्राहीम लोधी ने भी इनको मालिक या मलिक मान लिया जो कि इनकी प्राचीन पदवी थी। इसका वर्णन अगले पृष्ठों पर किया जायेगा। (लेखक), “वाकए राजपूताना” के लेख अनुसार ये गठवाला मलिक हांसी के पास दीपालपुर राजधानी पर बहुत समय तक राज्य करते रहे। इनके यहां पर प्रजातन्त्र राज्य की पुष्टि अनेक इतिहासज्ञ करते हैं। सन् 1192 ई० में मोहम्मद गौरी ने दिल्ली के सम्राट् पृथ्वीराज चौहान को तराइन के स्थान पर युद्ध में हरा दिया और दिल्ली पर अधिकार कर लिया। मोहम्मद गौरी ने अपने सेनापति कुतुबुद्दीन ऐबक को दिल्ली का शासन सौंप दिया और स्वयं गजनी लौट आया। इस समय दीपालपुर पर गठवालों का नेता जाटवान मलिक था। हरिराम भाट की पोथी में इस जाटवान को गठवाला मलिक लिखा है।, जाट इतिहास पृ० 714-715 पर ठा० देशराज ने जाटवान के विषय में लिखा है कि “यह रोहतक के जाटों का एक प्रसिद्ध नेता था। कुतुबुद्दीन ऐबक के विरुद्ध जाटों ने विद्रोह कर दिया। क्योंकि ये पृथ्वीराज के समय अपने देश के स्वयं शासक थे और पृथ्वीराज को नाममात्र का राजा मानते थे। जाटों ने एकत्र होकर मुसलमानों के सेनापति को हांसी में घेर लिया। वे उसे भगाकर अपने स्वतन्त्र राज्य की राजधानी हांसी को बनाना चाहते थे। इस खबर को सुन कर कुतुबुद्दीन सेना लेकर रातों-रात सफर करके अपने सेनापति की सहायता के लिए हांसी पहुंच गया। जाटों की सेना के अध्यक्ष जाटवान ने शत्रु के दोनों दलों को ललकारा। ‘तुमुल समीर’ के लेखक ने लिखा है कि दोनों ओर से घमासान युद्ध हुआ। पृथ्वी खून से रंग गई। बड़े जोर के हमले होते थे। जाट थोड़े थे फिर भी वे खूब लड़े। कुतुबुद्दीन स्वयं घबरा गया। जाटवान ने उसको निकट आकर नीचे उतरकर लड़ने को ललकारा। किन्तु कुतुबुद्दीन ने इस बात को स्वीकार न किया। जाटवान ने अपने चुने हुए बीस साथियों के साथ शत्रुओं के गोल में घुसकर उन्हें तितर-बितर करने की चेष्टा की। कहा जाता है जीत मुसलमानों की रही। किन्तु उनकी हानि इतनी हुई कि वे, जाट वीरों का इतिहास: दलीप सिंह अहलावत, पृष्ठान्त-273, रोहतक के जाटों का दमन करने के लिए जल्दी ही सिर न उठा सके।” (जाट इतिहास पृ० 16-17 पर लेखक कालिका रंजन कानूनगो ने भी ऐसा ही लिखा है)।, हरिराम भाट की पोथी अनुसार लल्ल गठवालों ने जाटवान मलिक के नेतृत्व में मुसलमानों पर धावा किया। यह भयंकर युद्ध तीन दिन और तीन रात चला जिसमें जाटवान शहीद हुआ। जाट इतिहास पृ० 16-17 लेखक कालिकारंजन कानूनगो के अनुसार हरयाणा के जाटों ने एक योग्य नेता जाटवान के नेतृत्व में इस युद्ध में भाग लिया।, जाटवान के बलिदान होने पर लल्ल गठवालों ने हांसी को छोड़ दिया और दूसरे स्थान पर आकर गोहाना के पास आहुलाना (हलाना), छिछड़ाना आदि गांव बसाये। वीर जाटवान के बेटे हुलेराम ने संवत् 1264 (सन् 1207 ई०) में ये गांव बसाये। (हरिराम भाट की पोथी)।, आज लल्ल गठवाला मलिकों के 42 गांव जि० रोहतक-सोनीपत में, जि० मुजफ्फरनगर में 52 गांव, जि० जीन्द में 12 गांव, जि०
