In their premiere episode, Jeff Bayer and Eric D. Snider rip on “Clash of the Titans” (especially its cheap 3-D) and Miley Cyrus’ “The Last Song.” They also discuss 1983’s “Hercules” (starring Lou Ferrigno) and try to make up a Samuel L. Jackson/Michelle Pfeiffer movie on the spot. And for some reason Jeff says “all the sudden” instead of “all of a sudden.”
How similar is A Town Called Panic to what they do in Robot Chicken?
Also: ancient Greek gods did need the sacrifices of humans to live. People cutting off the gods from their prayers/sacrifices was used as part of the plot of The Birds, an ancient Greek comedy.
Great first show! Thanks for making me laugh. Oh, and Puff the Magic Dragon WAS a movie…well a cartoon movie where Little Jackie Paper sails off and arrives on the Isle of Living Sneezes (who look like walking noses) and it rains chicken soup and they sing a song about that chicken soup rain bringing them to their senses. More adventures abound, as well. Such an odd movie, but my brothers and sisters and I still quote it quite frequently. Awesome.
Anyway, thanks for entertaining me!
Ralph, Town Called Panic … I could see the Robot Chicken comparison, but sweeter. Here’s two reviews from me and one of my writers.
